The Odisha Consumer Co-operative Federation (OCCF) Ltd., Bhubaneswar is an Apex Organization in the consumer co-operative sector which supplies consumer goods to its member Consumer Co-operative Societies for sale to consumers through its four branches at Cuttack, Baripada, Rourkela, Jeypore and 5 Departmental Stores in the name and style of ‘Bhanjaprabha Super Bazar’ at Bhubaneswar (with 2 stores), Cuttack, Puri and Berhampur. OCCF also has a Food Processing Unit in its Head Office premises in Bhubaneswar. This unit processes and packs various food commodities which are sold through its outlets under its brand name. A Mini Press is also being run by the Federation.

7. Working CapitalL :
  The Working Capital of OCCF has been calculated to Rs. 2338.07 lakhs for the year 2008-09. (as per Final Audit Report – 2008 – 09)
8. Management :
  The elected Committee of Management was functioning since 26.03.2008 consisting of 21 nos. of Directors including President.

But the Committee of Management of OCCF has been suspended since 20.05.2010 vide Order No. 11108 / Date 20.05.2010 of Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Odisha on the ground of series of irregularities & illegalities committed by the Committee of Management of OCCF which is detrimental to the interest of the Federation.

Sri Jaladhar Rout, JRCS (Marketing) has assumed the charges of Management of OCCF on 24.05.2010 in pursuance of R.C.S. (O) Order No. 11108/ Dt. 20.05.10.

However, the Hon'bie High Court of Odisha in W.P. (C ) No. 9632 of 2010 & Misc. Case No. 8745 of 2010 has passed order on dt. 25.05.2010 as follows;

"As an interim measure, the order in Annexure - I (i.e. order No. 11108 / dt. 20 05.2010 of R.C.S., Odisha) shall be kept in abeyance till the next date and it is also directed that the Committee of Management shall be restrained from dealing with any financial matters, which includes any payment, sanction of loan, etc. without prior permission of the Registrar of Cooperative Societies till the next date."
9. Branches :
  The Federation is having 16 nos. of branches out of which 10 nos. of branches (wholesale) are functioning at different places i.e. at Cuttack, Baripada, Rourkela, Jeypore, Sambalpur, Phulbani, Bhawanipatna (Kesinga), Dhenkanal, Bhubaneswar & Kolkata as Order Supply Branches and 4nos. of branches i.e. at Puri, Cuttack, Berhampur and Bhubaneswar (I.D. Market) are functioning as Super Bazars. There is also a Food Processing Units at head office premises i.e. at Bhubaneswar. This unit processes and packs various food commodities & spices in the Brand name of "Bhanjaprabha" which are being sold through Super Bazar (retail outlet). Apart from the said branches the OCCF is also functioning with a Press Unit at Head Office, Bhubaneswar.

  At present OCCF is paying Rs. 9.10 Lakhs towards salary cost (Gross amount) per month. Out of the total salary, the salary cost of Head Office comes to Rs. 3.75 lakhs and the salary cost of 16 branches comes to Rs. 5.35 lakhs.
